Urban Pioneer Group is a platform for cultural reclamation. Our mission is to re-imagine the concept of community from the ground up. Each aspect of our business is crafted with intentionality, we collaborate with local artisans, producers, and talent wherever possible. Our custom build projects are built with up-cycled and salvaged materials.

Tom started the Urban Pioneer Group years ago as a hobby creating furnishings from reclaimed wood and has evolved to include tables, accent walls & ceilings, kitchen islands, bars, wine racks & charcuterie boards. Tom then ventured into the design of commercial spaces and has completed several projects. Tom is passionate about crafting with reclaimed materials to create spaces that bring people together. Tom, born and raised in Oak Park, started at a young age working with his father on projects and now as a father of five he is still excited to provide the opportunity to create furnishings and social experiences for the next generation.
